This website is dedicated to bringing important, factual, and truthful information about the Dougherty County School System (DCSS) to light for the public knowledge and information.
This website provides information that is researched and compiled from many sources including Dougherty County School Board meetings, Georgia Department of Education (GADOE), information received in response to Freedom of Information Requests submitted to the Dougherty County School System, and information received from DCSS administrators, teachers, parents, students and the public.
This website will provide information that is not covered by the local media.
On this site, charts and articles will be found that are informative with sources cited at the end of the charts or articles. When sources such as school system personnel need to remain anonymous (so they will not be retaliated against by the School Board or the School System), their names will not be provided. The sources cited are established, vetted, knowledgeable and trusted.
Parents, grandparents, relatives, school system administrators, personnel and staff, Dougherty County community members, and taxpayers are all encouraged to visit this website regularly as additional information, charts and articles will be posted on a wide array of topics.

If you are a school system administrator, teacher or employee and want to provide information on an issue that concerns you, you are invited to submit your information, complete with substantive details and support documentation for DCSS Reporter to investigate. If the information is found to be accurate and impactful for improvement of student achievement, or the Dougherty County School System in general, an article may be developed and posted.
Information received from Dougherty County School System employees will have their identities protected.
DCSS employees should not submit information from any DCSS computer or using a DCSS email. The DCSS can back track computer use and emails to discover who is sending information in to DCSS Reporter.
Please submit your information via USPS, or an email address NOT associated with the Dougherty County School System. All submissions of information MUST be accompanied by your name, position (if applicable), and good contact information (including a working phone number) for verification and follow-up only. Contact information will not be shared with others.
Persons wanting to submit comments on the articles or charts are encouraged to do so. DCSS Reporter will review each comment received and consider it for posting. School System trolls should not send in comments or opinions.
